Mike Draheim, CSCS – Owner & Trainer

Mike Draheim has been professionally training athletes of all ages at all levels for over 15 years. Mike graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh in 2000 with a B.S. in Exercise and Fitness Management  and a minor in Athletic Training.

At UW-Oshkosh, Mike was a three-year student-athlete in cross country and ran for four years on the track & field team as a middle distance runner. Mike qualified for the NCAA Men’s Track & Field Championships four times and competed in the 800 meter run and the 4×400 meter relay. Mike was a member of UW-Oshkosh’s 2000 Drake Relays 4×400 Championship Team. The team was the first team from the school to win at the Drake Relays and their finish of 7:30.01 is still a school record.

Mike is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a certification that is obtained and verified by the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). In addition to owning XLR8 Sports Training, LLC, Mike is also co-owner of TNT Fitness Results Menasha and is the speed & conditioning specialist at Menasha High School.

 

Chris Bosio – Pitching Coach

Chris Bosio is currently the pitching coach for the Chicago Cubs. Bosio has been with the Cubs organization since the 2011 season. Prior to joining the Cubs, Bosio held coaching positions in the Seattle, Tampa Bay, Cincinnati and Milwaukee organizations. Bosko has coached many MLB pitchers like Jeff Samardzia, Travis Lilly and Jake Arrieta, to name a few. Most recently, Arietta won the NL Cy Young Award. Bosio played 11 season in the MLB with Milwaukee (1986-92) and Seattle (1993-96) and tallied a 94-93 career record with a 3.96 ERA (753 ER / 1,710.0 IP) in 309 games (256 starts). Bosio tossed the second no-hitter in Mariners history, blanking visiting Boston 7-0 on April 22, 2993. Bosio was named Milwaukee’s Most Valuable Pitcher in 1989 after finishing fourth in the American League with 173 strikeouts and tied for fourth with eight complete games. Bosio was selected by Milwaukee in the second round of the 1982 draft (January Secondary phase).

 

Matt Erickson – Hitting Coach

Matt Erickson is a former major league baseball infielder who played for the Milwaukee Brewers . Erickson is currently managing the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, Class ‘A’ Affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. A native of Appleton, Wis., Erickson graduated from Appleton West High School where he played baseball, football and basketball. After graduation, Erickson attended the University of Arkansas and became one of the top players for the Razorbacks. Erickson was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the seventh round of the MLB Draft. Erickson  spent a few years with the marlins organization before signing as a free agent with the Milwaukee Brewers on December 19, 2003. Erickson was called up to the Brewers in 2004 where he played in four games, and went one-for-six with a base hit against Greg Maddux. Erickson began training with XLR8 back in 2000 as an athlete and is now one of XLR8’s Hitting Coaches.  Erickson currently resides in Appleton with his wife and three children.

 

Dave Gassner – Pitching Coach

Dave Gassner, a native of Hortonville, Wis., is a 1997 graduate of Hortonville High School. Gassner graduated Purdue University in 2002 with a degree in Education and was a pitcher for the Boilermakers from 1998-2001. Selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2001 amateur entry draft, Gassner was traded to the Minnesota Twins on July 16, 2003. Gassner made his MLB debut on April 16, 2005 with the Twins.

 

Tim Harikkala – Pitching Coach

Tim Harikkala is a native of West Palm Beach, Fla. Harikkala was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 34th round of the 1992 MLB Draft and made his MLB debut on May 27, 1995. Harikkala made his last MLB appearance on August 12, 2007 for the Colorado Rockies.
